First post :]

Well, I thought I'd try out the blogger world once again.  I say once again, though really my only other blog was on my "MySpace"  Does anyone remember that site? Ha ha.   Well on this blog I plan on discussing healthy lifestyles, recipes, couponing, and eating green all on a thrifty budget.

So first, I thought I'd introduce myself to everybody.  My name is Victoria and I'm 28.  I just got married to my love 2 years ago.  I just recently bought my first home...well recently as in 1 year ago.  My how time flies!  I also have an 8 year old step son who keeps me busy.  I  have a mini zoo going on here, with One American PitBull Terrier named "Rocky", a bearded dragon named "Daddy", Two cats, one rescued from a shelter and one adopted from a friend, named "Bebe and Que", Two red eared slider turtles (you'd have to ask my step son on their names), and a fish tank of rescued feeder fish.  I'm going to school majoring in Psychology while working a part time job as a deli clerk.  Obviously with all this in mind, I'm not over here sipping on red wine and asking the butler for more caviar!  So I try to pinch my pennies where I can all while living the lifestyle I desire.  I recently got into couponing which I discovered is like an underground cult I never knew existed! That all started after I watched "Extreme Couponers"  on Netflix.  I thought, "hey, I wonder if I could do that!"  So I did a little research on it and found myself saving at least 50% every time at the grocery store.  My highest percent of savings was 74% which I'm still proud of but have never been able to get that high since then!

One thing I love about couponing isn't just saving money, but trying new things!  Coupons sort of MAKE you try new things.  Actually when a company comes out with a new item, you can usually try that item out for nearly free or free which is awesome because I don't even know if I'll like it or if it's worth the money!   So free is always good. ;)

I suppose I'll end my introductory post here.  And with each post I look forward to meeting new people with similar interests.  So, until next time... ;]
